Bio: Born on February 1, 1973, in Queens, New York, at the tender age of 12 years old Selena D. Holmes found a hobby in writing poems. Writing poems became a way for her to escape reality and to find serenity within a place that she could call her own. In 1995, she decided to try her hands at writing songs. The first song she wrote was called “Wrong Way.” A song that was inspired by a failed relationship. It was then that she discovered that through the high and low points of life she became inspired to write love songs. Love songs that she hoped to eventually share with the world someday.

During an interview in December, 2011 Selena D. Holmes stated "I realize that life is just one big stage and that everyone has a chance to shine, and share with the world what gifts God has grant them with. I truly believe that I have been blessed with a gift from God to visualize and deliver through songs, the challenges that we all experience during our emotional obstacles through out life. It is our experiences with love, joy, and heartaches that are the driven forces behind what makes a good song. The kind of songs that we remember when reminiscing on the hardships and triumphants that we encountered in life. The songs that help us get through the ever - changing journeys that we all travel in life."
